The government of Uganda has issued tough prevention guidelines after the neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) declared an outbreak of the deadly Ebola.
At least 17 people have died in the north-west of the central African nation.
Two cases have been confirmed with several other suspected cases DRC's Bikoro town, about 1,945km from the Ugandan border of Mpondwe in the western district of Kasese.
The prevention guidelines issued by the ministry of health include screening of travelers at Entebbe International Airport and all border entry points.
The ministry has equipped the private medical centre at the airport to provide instant counselling and clinical screening.
Task forces have been set up in districts with entry border points to conduct rapid assessment.
World's worst Ebola epidemic in history ended in West Africa in 2016 killing more than 11,300 people and infecting about 28,600 as it rolled through Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
