Ukay Centre which hosted Nakumatt Ukay is currently being demolished following Governments operation to reclaim riparian land.

The demolition carried started in the wee hours of Friday morning.

This comes a day after the mall's Managing Director moved to court to seek an order stopping the demolition. However, high court declined to issue the order.
