Speaking during an interview on NTV while in her office, she said that she only traveled in first class not for pleasure but for a medical condition she has.

“So even in the senate, because of that medical condition, and that is why I never used to travel a lot and even here I have not traveled a lot and it’s because of that. I don’t want to talk about it but even in the senate they would pay because of my condition, it’s not because you want prestige, no, because even business class is prestige already,” said Elachi.

"I don't want to talk about anything that I don't know. I would wish the procurement team to tell me. My documents of health are there with reasons."

Drama at City hall

Later on, drama occurred at the City Hall after Members of County Assembly (MCAs) tried to physically eject her out of the office following last week's impeachment.

This was followed by teargas which lobbed at the City Hall as the MCAs broke the office doors in an attempting to evacuate her.

After obtaining court order to suspend her impeachment last week, Elachi claimed MCAs were pressured to sign a petition for her impeachment with what she believed that they were threatened and would miss trips, be de-whipped or removed from committees.
