The singer has been drawn in the African Male Artist of the Year category with Davido, Wizkid, Cassper Nyovest, Diamond Platnumz, Kiss Daniel, Ido West, Slimcase, Nasty C, Burna Boy, Dice Ailes, Shatta Wale and Mayorkun.

Last year, Shatta Wale emerged winner of the prestigious award.

Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Seyi Shay, Becca, Ninola, Teni, DJ Cuppy, Vanessa Mdee were also nominated in the African Female Artist of the Year category.

The awards seek to "recognise, celebrate and honour Africans who have impacted positively to the African diaspora community".

The 3rd edition of African Pride Awards has 20 outstanding categories and 6 special recognition awards.

An auction will be held on the event day, Sunday, 3rd June, to raise funds for 'Save The Congo Charity', a grassroots Congolese-led campaign group working to help end the wars, conflicts and humanitarian crisis engulfing Congo.
