Gachuri, who was previously a senior political reporter, will now occupy the position of Political Affairs Editor.

This comes at a time Citizen TV is revamping its news desk with an array of newly hired news anchors poached from other TV stations.

Mr Gachuri is a well-known political affairs reporter who hit  headlines during the 2017 General Election after he was attacked by Opposition supporters.

News of his promotion was first shared by his colleague at RMS who was congratulating him on the new role.
