At the same time, online taxi drivers were also in Nairobi's Central Business District (CBD), as they launched a country-wide protest at Uhuru Park.

The drivers who use, Uber, Taxify, Little Cab and others taxi mobile applications were demonstrating against poor working conditions, meager pay, and insecurity.

They claim that 35 drivers have died in the line of duty because of the poor working conditions.
