Bonny Khalwale has disclosed plans of a walkout from NASA by the Luhya community to form a new political outfit that will negotiate with Deputy President William Ruto ahead of 2022.
Addressing the public at a rally in Kakamega County, Khalwale urged Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi to lead the community in ditching NASA and unite under one umbrella that will increase its bargaining power come 2022.
"We want Ford Kenya and ANC to merge and form one political outfit so that when DP Ruto comes to the table with his party, we also sit with ours." Khalwale said.
His sentiments were echoed by Sirisia MP John Walukhe who observed that the DP should consider forming an alliance with Luhya Community because it will play a key role in the 2022 presidential race.
Other leaders at the event took a swipe at NASA leader Raila Odinga for duping Mudavadi and Wetangula.
Sports CS Rashid Achesa who also attended the event challenged Mudavadi to step aside and pave way for new leaders having failed to unite the community.
"If Musalia is not ready to vie for presidency he should move aside and let others lead. I am ready to take the Mulembe nation forward."Â Achesa said.
