Deputy Speaker visits tortured MPs

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah on Wednesday visited tortured MPs Bobi Wine and Francis Zaake.

Oulanyah told reporters in Kampala that the two legislators are in great pain following their brutal arrest on August 13th.
"Hon. Zaake and Hon. Kyagulanyi have no internal injuries. All injuries are externally arising from several beatings when they were arrested," Oulanyah said.
The Deputy Speaker of Parliament condemned the level of violence in the country saying "this shouldn't have happened" and "we need to reflect on these matters and find a way forward".
