Tortured legislator Bobi Wine and 32 other people, including politicians, have appeared before Gulu Magistrates Court to seek for bail.

The group was charged with treason after allegedly pelting stones to the president's car in the northern town of Arua with intent to harm him.
Wine was charged with treason last week after the General Court Martial dropped the charge of illegal possession of firearms and dismissed all court proceedings.

The lawmaker was later rearrested and taken to Gulu Magistrate Court where he was formally charged with treason and allowed to access his private doctor.

Other people facing treason are Arua MP-elect Kassiano Wadri, Paul Mwiru (Jinja East), Gerald Karuhanga (Ntungamo) and Mike Mabikke (ex Makindye East MP).
They have all been on remand at Gulu Main Prison.
