Balaam says Gravity's hospital will help musicians a lot
Barugahara, who has been in the music industry for years, however, didn't like the approach Omutujju took, especially disrespecting Bobi Wine whom he described as an elder in the industry.
"What Gravity did shows he is not serious," said Barugahara, alluding to the incident where Omutujju took two bags of cement and a truck of sand to Wine's property in Busabala.
"What can a bag of cement do? It can't even build a latrine. Let's not play on the minds of Ugandans. But his intentions were good... He just wanted to show Bobi Wine, who is among the biggest landowners that side, to give away a section of his land for the construction of a specialized hospital that can help musicians because musicians suffer from lots of diseases, including syphilis, and so on," he added.
"... And because of such diseases, sometimes they fear to visit hospitals because they'll talk about them... I think Gravity had a good idea but he used it to mock his elder. Kyagulanyi is Gravity's elder, just as I'm Kyagulanyis elder... So he shouldn't mock him. He should look for him and they have a conversation."
It's not year what inspired Gravity Omutujju's stunt against Bobi Wine but the two have not been on good terms for a while.
The two teamed up to release a song titled Batujoozenyo in 2020, but upon its release, Wine didn’t promote it and this didn’t sit well with Gravity. It was a bit ironic, considering it’s politically inspired and it was released toward the 2021 presidential elections, and Wine, real name Robert Kyagulanyi, was a candidate.
Since then Gravity has taken some digs at Wine during media appearances and only restrained himself when he felt criticising Wine would have an impact on his fanbase.
Gravity Omutujju has previously said that Bobi Wine has always refused to pick up his calls.
