Three officers of the Uganda Police Force have been convicted of neglect of duty in Arua when President Museveni's car was pelted with stones.

A police court revealed that evidence showed the three senior police officers were guilty.

They were cited for failing to use available manpower and machinery to avert violence, according to Daily Monitor.

The officers include West Nile regional police commander Jonathan Musinguzi, Arua district police commander Abbas Ssenyonjo, and Robert Junena, the zonal field force unit, officer.

Mid-August last year, at least 33 people, including Bobi Wine, were brutally arrested and allegedly tortured by Ugandan soldiers over allegations of pelting stones to the president's motorcade.

The group was charged with treason before the Gulu Magistrate Court.
