The Gura Hydro-Power dam in Nyeri has spilled over following heavy rains that has pounded the county.

The spill resulted in a landslide in the areas surrounding the area.

No injuries have so far been reported following the incident.

The hydro-electric Gura power station constructed in 2012 was financed by four tea factories and the Kenya Tea Development Authority.
