Pulse Uganda Announces the 2nd edition of the Pulse Influencer Awards with a glittering theme

Pulse Uganda is delighted to reveal the eagerly awaited return of the Pulse Influencer Awards for the second consecutive year. With the theme of "The Golden Era - Bold & Elegant," the highly anticipated event is set to take place on October 7, 2023. Online voting will commence on Pulse Uganda's website from September 5, 2023.

These awards serve as recognition of individuals who have harnessed the power of social media to disseminate value, share ideas, and cultivate thriving communities.

"We are truly honored to host the Pulse Influencer Awards for the second time in Uganda. Over the years, we have witnessed a remarkable surge in digital creativity and community engagement, and it fills us with excitement to commemorate and recognize the exceptional local talents. At Pulse Uganda, we are deeply committed to showcasing the invaluable contributions made by these influencers to our digital landscape and culture," expressed Aaron Musoke, the Managing Director of Pulse Uganda.

Last year, the Pulse Influencer Awards garnered overwhelming participation, receiving an impressive 200,562 votes across various categories, reflecting the vibrant digital community in Uganda.

This year, Pulse Uganda is expecting an even grander celebration, with increased audience, influencer, and partner brand participation.

Uncle Mo, the winner of last year's YouTube and Comedy categories, shared his enthusiasm about winning the Pulse Influencer Awards, saying, "It's not just about the recognition, but it's about celebrating the community we've built. The Pulse Influencer Awards truly highlight the importance of digital creativity and its impact on our society."

To ensure the fair selection of the most exceptional talents in the digital landscape, the esteemed jury for the Pulse Influencer Awards 2023 comprises industry experts, including John Ssenkeezi, David Balikuddembe, Jackie Namara, and Robert Sebunya, among others, bringing their wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table.

The Pulse Influencer Awards 2023 have also introduced some significant changes this year, streamlining the category list from 29 to 23, focusing on core areas of influence.

Additionally, an exciting new award category, the 'Next Gen Influencer of the Year,' has been introduced to recognise the efforts of emerging digital creators.

"The Pulse Influencer Awards are a platform dedicated to honouring and magnifying the unwavering dedication of our influencers. In a stride towards greater inclusivity and support for the future, we proudly introduce the 'Next Gen Influencer of the Year' category this year, extending our recognition and encouragement to the budding talents within our vibrant digital community," revealed Lizel Muwaya, the Head of Content at Pulse Uganda, exemplifying the organisation's commitment to fostering new talent.

The award finale promises to be a celebration of glamour, featuring delectable food and drinks, content creation, and networking opportunities, held simultaneously in all six Pulse markets Uganda, Senegal, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire.
