2023 UACE results to be released today

The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) announced on Wednesday, March 6 that 2023 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results will be released on Thursday, March 7.

The 2023 UACE results will be released by the Minister of Education and Sports Janet Museveni who is also the First Lady.

These are set to be the third and last set of the national exams released by UNEB after Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) and Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results that were released early in the month.

According to official figures from UNEB, a total of 110,569 candidates were registered to sit for the 2023 UACE exams of which 43 percent (47,227) are female while 57 percent (63,342) are male.

Students who score at least two principal passes in the 2023 UACE Results will automatically qualify to join universities and other tertiary institutions while those who fail to attain two principal passes will be advised to re-sit another year in A-level or use their UCE results for post-secondary education.

Similarly, those who will qualify to join higher education are expected to join universities and other tertiary institutions in May and August for the new academic year 2024/23.

The 2023 UACE exams, which are the final set of national examinations, were conducted from November 10 – December 1, 2023.

Meanwhile, ahead of the release of 2023 UACE results, it's important to note that the results for the 2023 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) were released on Thursday, February 15 at State House in Nakasero, Kampala.
