Eddy Kenzo set to perform at top festival in Canada

Eddy Kenzo will join an admirable lineup of top artistes that will entertain revelers at the 2023 African Descent Festival.

The Grammy-nominated singer had recently taken a break from shows out of the country due to his role at the Uganda National Musicians Federation.

The African Descent Festival will be held from August 12-13 at the English Bay Beach in Vancouver, Canada.

The Ghetto Kids also managed to get a standing ovation from all the judges during the semi-finals, which saw them cruise all the way to the finals.

They also had an amazing 2022 with the top highlights being entertaining fans that turned up for the World Cup in Qatar and rubbing shoulders with iconic football players.

Other top Ugandan entertainers to look out for at the African Descent Festival 2023 are singer Annet Nandujja deejay and media personality Zahara Totto (D.J. Zato) and television host Douglas Lwanga, who will host the event.

The lineup of performers features top entertainers from Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya.

The Festival, which is being hosted for its ninth edition, is sponsored by top organisations in the world, including Red Cross and the Canadian government.

The African Descent Festival is intended to celebrate the cultural diversity of people of African Descent within Vancouver while recognizing and promoting attitudes of oneness among all ethnic groups and communities.

The event focuses on activating public spaces and bringing a diverse range of programming to connect stakeholders working avidly for the long-term sustainability of this population.
