Going to rehab only worsened my addiction – Jackie Chandiru

Jackie Chandiru etched her mark onto the Ugandan music scene as lead member of all-girl singing group, Blu*3.

After the group became history, Jackie pursued a solo career, collaborating with top talents such as Jose Chameleone.

However, Jackie’s career was stalled after a highly publicised battle with drugs and narcotics.

In a recent interview with Spark Television, Jackie Chandiru revealed that she has no regrets whatsoever over what befell her.

According to the “Going on” hit maker, all that happened to her was planned by God.

In addition, she revealed that going to rehab did not help her condition at all, as her experience there only worsened her condition.

She made these comments while relating her drug addiction to the one King Saha is currently rumoured to be going through.

Jackie further added that she has since evolved, and she is not the woman she was before.

King Saha was previously hospitalised, with allegations of him overdosing on drugs making rounds in the media.

According to Jackie, King Saha’s situation was blown out of the water by the media.

She further added that she has no right to judge him, or comment about his situation, since she does not know exactly what he is going through.

However, she noted that if it is indeed true that Saha is going through a drug problem similar to the one she went through, then it will only be a matter of time before he finds a way out.

Jackie further added that the only thing she can do for King Saha is pray for him because she can relate to his situation.

“The only thing I can do for King Saha right now is pray for him,” she said.

Jackie is famed for songs such as Gold Digger, Gwoyagala, Agassi, among others.
