The story, which went viral online and was picked up by mainstream media, involves one Zula Nakisuyi, who accuses her husband, Hajji Ali Mwizerwa of sexually assaulting her daughter (names withheld).
Zula claimed in the YouTube interview with Kalibbala that her husband crept into her children’s room and forced himself on the 14-year-old girl multiple times.
Zula also accused police of siding with her husband and frustrating the case (even though he is currently on remand in Kigo Prison).
Bwanika however, faced backlash as more details in the matter started emerging, including Zula’s other daughter who accused her of making up the story in an attempt to steal her husband’s property.
The former “Mwasuze Mutya” host was accused by some bloggers of conniving with Zula in a theft scheme.

Bwanika however, stated today, that her intention was not to side with Zula but to get justice for an innocent child.
“When that woman came to me at first, I was not interested in the story, but when I heard about an abused child, I was hurt because I am a parent," she said
"This is why I always state that all the views expressed on my show are not mine."
She added that her focus remains on the story of the child, adding, “I do not care about the adults and whatever happened between them. I just want whoever hurt that child to get justice.”
In the latest episode on her YouTube channel on Thursday, Kalibbala hosted one Javira Kabugo Bitikote, a brother-in-law of Hajj Mwizerwa who in the interview, added another twist to the story.
He revealed that the child was indeed sexually molested by another person and not his brother in law.
"The Police themselves told us the checked the girl and confirmed that she had been abused but a long time ago," he said
The matter awaits to be decided in courts of law.
