Phina Mugerwa moves on from tragic loss as she introduces British lover

Singer Phina Mugerwa Masalanyalaze was all smiles as she unveiled her lover to her family in the Kiganda traditional ‘Kwanjula" ceremony.

The 39 year old executive member of the Uganda National Musicians Federation introduced her man on Thursday June 1st, at a simple ceremony attended by family and close friends.

The middle-aged gentleman, we have learnt, is called Rogers and is from the United Kingdom.

The development comes just days after the ‘Bampasudde’ singer reportedly lost his 16 year old son, who according to multiple reports passed away suddenly with no apparent ailment.

The introduction also puts to bed rumors which had been going around that Mugerwa was dating city tycoon John Kassami.

At the ceremony, the groom had some heartwarming words to his newly found lover, and the guests.

He said he had reached a stage where he thought he couldn't love anyone any more, until he met Mugerwa.

“I just want to say that this has been the happiest moment of my life,” he said to smiling and ululating guests.

“I didn’t know Phina at all; we met purely by chance and suddenly my love for her blossomed. I just think more than the world of her.”

Some of the guests in attendance included musicians Mariam Ndagire and traditional singer and dancer Annet Nandujja.
