'My man left me in the house to introduce another woman' - Leila Kayondo

Leila Kayondo revealed she once dated a man who held an introduction ceremony with another woman when they were still in a relationship.

"A man once left me in the house to introduce another woman... so those things happen... it can happen to everyone," said Kayondo while speaking to Galaxy TV.

Leila Kayondo's most publicised relationship was that with businessman SK Mbuga. They broke up in 2016 after she accused him of domestic violence and the case even went to court.

That same year, S.K. Mbuga, real name Sulaiman Kabalangala, married Jalia Vivienne Chebet in a lavish wedding and they now share three kids together.

Appearing to reminisce about her relationship with Mbuga, Kayondo said: "I've been in a situation of domestic violence, where a person is beating me every time he gets annoyed. We won't mention names."

Despite their nasty breakup, the two remain close friends.

Went to Seeta Church of Uganda Primary School, Naalya S.S. Namugongo for O-Level and Greenville High School for A-Level. She then joined Makerere University for a diploma in IT and Uganda Christian University for an undergrad degree in Social Work and Social Administration.

Leila Kayondo was born in Seeta but hails from Kyabakuza. Her father is Yahaya Kayondo and the mother is called Faridah Wakabi Kayondo.

When she was in S.6. vacation, a singing competition was announced on Record TV and she participated and was among the finalists.

After the competition, she joined Makerere and during this period, she met Eddie Yawe who recruited her into Dream Girls. They were her, Renah Nalumansi and Anitah the Diva. One of their hit songs was Lero Weekend

Their manager was Emma Carlos. Their dreams later changed and they split amicably.

As she was completing University, Universal Entertainment, which at the time had signed artistes like Cyclone (girls' group), Ngoni, Chilli Galz, contacted her for management.

Under them, she released songs like Kiluma Nyo, Kankutigise (with Aziz Azion), One Moment (with GNL), Nkwagala, etc.

She left Universal before her three-year contract ended because artistes were many and she wasn't getting enough attention.
