The legendary artist believes there has been an awakening among Ugandan musicians about the influence they hold over the population.
Ronald Mayinja has shed light on why older and established musicians are keen on going back to school.

The musicians, he said, are trying to expand their knowledge base to be more relevant to their fans who have much faith and belief in them.
“People think that we are smart…that we know a lot because we give people information,” Mayinja said on Thursday.
“If therefore, you yourself don't know what you are talking about, you will poison people’s minds”
The singer was speaking in light of fellow musician and opposition leader Bobi Wine’s graduation from Cavendish University.
Bobi Wine finally completed his law course after 8 years.
In the past few years, a number of top Ugandan musicians have taken up college/university courses, among them Mayinja himself, who last year graduated with a degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University, having earlier acquired a diploma in Business Administration from KIU.
Jose Chameleone also received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations degree from Cavendish last year, while Mathias Walukagga completed an adult entry course at IUIU

Mayinja yesterday commended Bobi Wine for seeking the path of enlightenment, and for doing the same for young leaders in his own party, the National Unity Platform.
“I was very pleased when he opened a school that teaches leadership to young people,” he said
“I believe that his followers will learn a lot from that school because we have been fighting with them about certain.
