"Jojo, I know you, but I don't know what you do," Taylor recounted Oze saying.
Taylor, who deals in beauty products with shops in both Uganda and the U.K., explained that her disappointment began with that comment.
Jojo Taylor, who gained popularity through her eccentric conversations with comedian Kabata—also now in the diaspora—said the viewers' comments indicated that Anna Talia Oze failed to ask appropriate questions during the interview.
She felt that no research was done before the show and that Oze was unaware of who she was. Taylor questioned how someone could claim to have studied journalism and yet display such a lack of professionalism. (Oze holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education with a focus on Literature in English from Makerere University.)
Jojo Taylor also expressed her frustration about having to introduce herself from scratch, despite ample information being available about her online.
"You just bring people on without doing due diligence," she remarked. "I was so disappointed."
Taylor's biggest grievance was a headline that focused on her marriage to a white man. She noted that interviews with YouTubers and TikTokers are now preferable because expectations are lower compared to television appearances.
She added that this was not the first time a Next Media personality or entity had been accused of unprofessionalism.
