His ‘Sitya Danger’ show it is understood, has now been postponed to another date following logistical setbacks.
Skin had announced through his social media platforms that he’ll be performing at the Ferndale Recreation Center in Randburg, Johannesburg on August 12.
Last night, however, it emerged that the show was pulled after the singer failed to secure a visa.
The reports quickly sparked speculation on social media that the concert had been canceled due to the raging fight between Skin and supporters of NUP leader Bobi Wine.
Some of the claims going around were that one of the event organizers Ali Mawale, a die-hard supporter of Bobi Wine, had pulled the plug on the show.
However, DJ Ravi Hussein, the show host came out last night to clarify that the concert was being postponed to Thursday, August 17.
The venue is unchanged.
“Attention my dope people get set on 17th Thursday 2023 Alien Skin is gonna be performing live at Ferndale recreation center Randburg ft yo dope DJ Ravi naloo,” he posted.
Alien Skin is yet to completely get back on good terms with supporters of Bobi Wine following his recent comments in which he appeared to dismiss the opposition leader’s influence on his music career.
Skin attempted to calm the rage by announcing on August 9th that he would be holding his Nkwacho festival at Bobi Wine’s Busabala Beach.
The Beach Management under Bobi Wine’s wife Barbie Itungo however, has since communicated that no such concert will be taking place at Busabala because there are no music shows booked there for the entirety of this year.
