On Saturday, May 17, Mediterraneo Restaurant in Kololo turned into a whisky haven, hosting a vibrant World Whisky Day celebration with Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) through their single-malt brand, The Singleton.
The restaurant, famed for its rustic charm and top-notch Italian dishes, set the stage for an evening of discovery and indulgence.
Guests savoured a curated dining experience, with each course paired with a double pour of Singleton 12-Year-Old and Singleton-inspired cocktails, crafted to enhance both food and whisky flavours.

The menu delighted with highlights like imported sirloin steak, seared with black pepper and rosemary for a juicy finish, and slow-cooked pork ribs, lightly seasoned with salt and pepper.
A whisky enthusiast led a mentorship session, guiding guests through The Singleton’s rich history, production process, and distinct tasting notes.
At the Singleton booth, visitors sampled the smooth, fruity Singleton 12, with hints of honey and vanilla, and the mature Singleton 15, boasting spiced oak and dried fruit notes, perfect for seasoned drinkers.
