Ugandan socialite and businesswoman, Zari Hassan, has strongly condemned women who have been flooding her social media with requests to connect them with her grown-up sons.
The mother of five, who lost her husband Ivan Ssemwanga in 2017, has three adult boys – Raphael, Pinto, and Quincy – whom she shares with her late spouse.
Social Media Requests Spark Outrage
In a message posted on her social media account, Zari expressed her outrage at the women who have been reaching out to her, praising her sons for their good looks and asking to be connected with them.
She made it clear that such behaviour is not only inappropriate but also disrespectful.
Zari remarked, “Women on this app are misusing social media. How can you ask a mother to connect you to her sons? That is a high level of disrespect.”

The socialite said that while she may engage with her audience online, there are clear boundaries when it comes to her children.
“You cannot be sending me messages thirsting about my children, talking about how handsome and tall they are. I am their mother! I know where you are coming from, but have some respect to know that I am a mom,” she added.

Drawing the Line on Social Media Interactions
Zari urged the single women to go after her other friends, adding that her sons are off-limits.
“I have a lot of male friends I can connect you to, but leave my sons,” she said, making it clear that she will not tolerate disrespect toward her family.
