The banks of the River Nile in Jinja were transformed into a vibrant hub of entertainment as the first-ever Tusker Sauce of the Nile Fest took place at Nile Park Resort.
The event brought together Uganda’s rich cultural heritage and contemporary music in a lively celebration that highlighted Jinja’s growing appeal as an entertainment and tourism destination.
Festivalgoers were treated to an electrifying start, with Emmanice DJ setting the mood and Hypeman MC Tender keeping the crowd energised.

As the sun set over the Nile, the festival’s unique riverside location provided the perfect atmosphere for revellers to enjoy the night’s activities.
“This was the perfect stage to bring people together to celebrate life’s bold, refreshing moments and to showcase Jinja’s beauty with premium experiences that resonate with our consumers,” said Peter Ekwang, project lead from Tusker Lager.

A Fusion of Traditional and Modern Sounds
Music remained at the heart of the festival, with an eclectic lineup that blended Uganda’s traditional sounds with modern beats.

Emma Sax mesmerised the audience with an instrumental session before DJs seamlessly mixed classic Ugandan tracks like Fred Ssebatta’s Dolle yo Mwanda with contemporary hits.
Performers such as Lagum, Max Noir, and Kohen Jaycee brought an urban energy to the stage, while upcoming rapper Macho Pound’s freestyle electrified the crowd.
A moving tribute to the late Mowzey Radio added a nostalgic moment, bringing festivalgoers together to honour the Ugandan music legend. The night ended on a high with Amapiano-infused dance routines keeping the energy alive until the early hours.
Boosting Local Tourism and Economy
Beyond entertainment, the festival aimed to create a lasting impact on the Jinja community.
Through a partnership with the Naluubale Foundation, the event supported local businesses and sought to drive economic growth in the region.
