Two former love birds, Suuna Ben and Mary Kinene Nambwayo could at last afford to share a smile after many months of a bitter public clash over property.
The two on Wednesday confirmed burying the hatchet and choosing to work together to raise their child.
Nabwayo, smiling ear to ear, said she was happy to be at peace again with the father of her child.
“It is so good that the guns have been silenced. He (Suuna) has always been with my good friend,” she said.
“People who attacked Namwayo had their own reasons and this might have been one of them, but now this is over, I hope that there will be no more bad blood,” said Suuna.
“People abused me as well. But now we all get to cease fire. Everything is good. We are back to where we used to be.”
Reunion facilitated by KT
The reunion was facilitated by Hajj Musa Kavuma of KT Events who called for intensive meetings between the couple and Hajj Muhamadi Kamoga of Kamoga Property Consultants, who processed the land title in question.
A storied house on Block 435, Plot 759 in Bukaya, Busiro was at the centre of the clash between the duo.
During the meetings, Nambwayo agreed to surrender the title and house back to Suuna Ben.
As such, the land title names were changed to Suuna as the sole owner.
In return, Hajj Kamoga offered her another plot of land worth Shs 50 million, located in Kyetume Village in Busiika along Gayaza Road. Suuna also reportedly agreed to construct her a house on this plot.
Appologies
The couple agreed to end their bickering and called on their fans to cease fire as well.
Suuna apologised for the harsh words he had used against Nambwayo and Kamoga.
How it started
The couple has had a long-standing spat over the Busiro land and house which were registered in both their names.
After developing misunderstandings, Suuna a renowned TV, and radio personality and DJ, took to the public to accuse Nambwayo of colluding to hijack the land and house.
He claimed that Hajj Kamoga snuck her name onto the land title without his knowledge.
In the heat of the fight, Suuna attempted in vain to evict Nambwayo from her house.
The fight seeped into their fan bases, with each attacking the other.
At the recent funeral of his mother, Suuna once again attacked Nabwayo during his farewell speech, referring to her as “akayiringu”
He also prayed for a curse to befall Hajj Kamoga for conniving with Nambwayo to steal his land.
