Celebrated media personality, Faridah Nakazibwe is contemplating a grand return to television.

The former NTV news anchor says she’s been considering the move after being bombarded with calls from her fans, requesting her return.

“I know that many of you have been reaching out to me asking when I will be back on TV. I will be back soon,” she said.

Nakazibwe made the announcement on Tuesday night during the New Year’s Eve celebrations at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

In an interview, she said, she had taken time off to focus on family matters.

Departure from NTV

Nakazibwe concluded her 17-year tenure at NTV Uganda in September 2023.

Joining the station in 2006, she became a familiar face as the anchor of the Luganda news bulletin, NTV Akawungeezi, and host of the morning show Mwasuze Mutya.

Her departure was marked by her final appearance on Mwasuze Mutya on September 27, 2023.

Following her exit, Ruth Kalibbala Bwanika temporarily took over hosting duties.

Speculation about her reasons for leaving included fatigue from her demanding schedule and a desire to pursue personal projects.

Personal Milestones

In May 2024, Nakazibwe announced the birth of her son, expressing gratitude for the new addition to her family. She shared glimpses of her son on social media, delighting her followers.

Post-NTV, Nakazibwe has focused on personal ventures, including brand endorsements and managing her YouTube channel.

Her substantial social media following has facilitated collaborations with brands such as OMO, Sumz, and Chipper Cash.

In October 2024, Nakazibwe hinted at a return to the public eye, suggesting a possible comeback to television or other media platforms.
