Ray G concert promoter moves to sell venue to Balokole crusade over money clash

Ray G's concert that is slated for May 10 at Lugogo Cricket Oval is on the verge of being canceled after its promoter, Nobat Events, claimed the former was scheming to steal money.

Ray G and Nobat Events announced the aforementioned concert in March, coming shortly after the former went viral after fighting with Azawi over a microphone on stage in Mbarara.

Nobat, who himself has previously been involved in controversy, must have seen an opportunity to cash in on the virality.

But it seems two controversial people can't work, that's if they are not selling their concert through controversy!

In a video shared on Friday afternoon, April 26, Nobat Events says G has misrepresented their relationship with sponsors.

Some of the sponsors he mentions are Next Media and MTN Uganda.

According to him, the Omusheshe hitmaker is telling sponsors that the promoter's role was to secure the venue and nothing else.

Nobat says Ray G is currently collecting the money from revelers yet it's supposed to go to the promoter.

He denied the current ongoings being promotion stunts and said that he is going to talk to churches organising fellowships to use the venue since G has decided to play games.

G has yet to comment on the matter.

It should be recalled that his concert was fixed on the date B2C, alias Kampala Boys, were supposed to hold a concert.

At the time, they hadn't revealed their venue, and when they learned about G's concert they canceled theirs, promising to announce new dates in the future.

Theirs wasn't the first show to be postponed, as David Lutalo, former Blu*3 members, and the UB40 featuring Ali Campbell shows have had their dates changed.
