Lian, who now works with Next Media, as a news anchor, TV presenter and video editor, said that it's Omutongole, born Denis Katongole, who first gave her an opportunity to present on TV when she was doing her internship at Delta TV.
Sandra Lian, who has now become a media sensation because of her piercing voice and bouncy dance moves, was an undergrad student at Mutesa I Royal University studying mass communication when she joined Delta TV.
She befriended Denis Katongole Omutongole and he eventually gave her a five-minute segment in his show at Delta.
Omutongole was among guests at Lian's graduation party.

Who is Sandra Lian?
Sandra Lian Lusiya, who is a video editor, news anchor and TV host, hails from Luwero, she went to Our Lady of Africa S.S. Namilyango, St. Kizito Katikamu S.S and Mutesa I Royal University where she studied Mass Communication.
She told Kalibbala that she started dancing while in school and she was a highly-rated Maganda dancer.
Her media internship was at Delta TV, where she tried out lots of things, including videography and working as a receptionist.
It's here that she met the legendary TV and radio host Denis Katongole Omutongole whom she even invited for her graduation party.
They became friends and he gave her a five-minute segment in his show at Delta.
She was later fired from Delta for skipping work.
She went back home and after a while, an opportunity to work as a video editor at Baba TV for 500k came knocking.
She was posted in Jinja, but she didn't get the 500k as promised, only 200k.
After two months, she protested to join the Baba TV branch in Ntinda, Kampala.
While there, they gave her an opportunity to present a gossip segment on the morning show.
She later landed an opportunity to work with Next Media where she started as a video editor, and she has since evolved into a news anchor and host.
