Uganda's iconic Afrigo Band has been unveiled as the fifth act of the highly anticipated third season of the Tusker Malt Conversessions series.

The episode, set to premiere on Sunday, May 4, will be streamed exclusively on the beer brand's YouTube page.

With over four decades of musical excellence, Afrigo Band continues to be a staple in Uganda’s music scene.

The band enjoys a fan base that spans generations, from millennials who’ve embraced their timeless hits to Gen X listeners who’ve danced to their rhythms since the 1970s.

Viewers can look forward to a soulful, stripped-back performance featuring some of the band’s greatest hits, including "Jim," "Obangaina," "Sikulimba," and more.

These songs have withstood the test of time, continuing to inspire sing-alongs and fill dancefloors across the country.

The episode will feature six songs and six Conversessions, offering not only entertainment but also an emotional journey through the band’s storied history.

Known for its intimate performances, Conversessions provides a unique space where artists share the stories behind their music. Afrigo’s upcoming episode will explore their evolution, triumphs, and challenges over the years.

“This episode will not only be a masterclass in longevity but a tribute to a band that has used the power of music to connect generations,” said Mercy Atwongyeire, Project Manager at UBL. “Expect heartfelt moments, a touch of humour, and maybe even a few surprises.
