Jubilee Life Insurance Uganda has launched its innovative platform, NxtPe, aimed at revolutionising how customers make premium payments.
The platform, which won the 2024 Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) Innovation Award, provides a seamless way for both banked and unbanked clients to manage their payments efficiently.
NxtPe offers a variety of payment methods, including one-off payments and standing orders, making it adaptable to different customer needs.
The platform allows users to make payments through Airtel wallet, with plans to extend to MTN in the near future. One of its standout features is automatic policy reconciliation, ensuring that premium payments are instantly processed and tracked, with clients able to access statements and receive receipts immediately.

Since its launch, NxtPe has successfully processed over Shs 700 million in premiums and gained over 200 users, with growth continuing monthly. The platform’s security is also robust—users can log in only through their registered mobile device, with an OTP (One-Time Password) required to ensure secure transactions.
Camilla Mindru, Marketing and Communications Manager at Jubilee Life, shared, “NxtPe is transforming access to financial services, especially for customers in both rural and urban areas.” The platform not only serves existing clients but also targets those looking to purchase life insurance policies.
