Jairus Ayeta Maasa was working with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG & E) in San Francisco, California.

Reports indicate that he died on duty while restoring electricity in the Shasta district when his vehicle lost control and rolled into the danger zone.

PG & E says an enforcement team has been dispatched to investigate the cause of the incident.

A GoFundMe account has been created to help Ayeta's family receive his remains. Over $18000 has been collected and the target is $60.000.

Authorities in California say the fire has destroyed over 1,600 building, including homes.
