Winnie Odinga appointed to influential position in top football club

Opposition leader Raila Odinga’s last born daughter Winnie Odinga has been appointed as an Executive Member of top flight football club, Gor Mahia.

Reports say that the appointment made by club Chairman Mr. Ambrose Rachier on Monday, will have Winnie in-charge of Gor Mahia FC’s Media and Publicity Department.

According to the club’s Deputy Secretary Ronald Ngala, the former Prime Minister’s daughter is well suited to lead Gor Mahia FC’s Communication Department.

He added that Winnie is in a good position to boost the club’s publicity as they look to book a spot in the CAF Confederations Cup semi-finals.

Die-hard fan

Winnie is an ardent fan of Gor Mahia and has been attending games whenever the club is playing. The 29 year-old holds a Double Majors Degree in International Business and Corporate Communications.

Winnie Odinga is following the footsteps of his father Raila Odinga who is Gor Mahia’s club Patron.
