People are expressing their disappointments and asking a lot of questions like why is Jesus not being depicted by a black person.

This happened at Munyonyo Martyrs Shrine.

“Christians learn to respect Jesus so literally anyone can act as Jesus. I look at this as idolatry. This sends a different massage to Christians”

”SO JESUS WAS "WHITE"?? Wait, " INDIAN?" happy Palm Sunday to everyone.”

“Jesus wasn't white. No need for using that man.”

“Can't a black play the Jesus role?”

“If this white skinned guy accepted to ride on a donkey . Let him be crucified also on good Friday. Ate tabatolokako. Aberewo mu bulungi ne mu bubi”

“So they decide to use a white to ride on the donkey. Jesus y cant colonialism end in Africa and yet literature books tell us these guys are religious hypocrites”

“The reason iam so confused with religious beliefs, now what's this??The reason i only believe in only God the father. The rest i will c when i reach heaven!!”

“The moment I saw that photo, I thanked myself for not going to church today. That was done in poor taste and it is condescending to us black people. I am outraged by this.”
