Victor Osimhen: Super Eagles star transfer saga finally ends as he completes his move to Chelsea

Osimhen’s transfer saga has been a thing of discussion for the last couple of months following several failed negotiations.

The forward was linked with a move to French outfit PSG earlier in the transfer window but were unable to negotiate a deal with Napoli for his signature.

His failed move opened the way for Chelsea to swoop in, with the deal taking a long time before it was completed.

The 2023 African Best player has completed his move to Chelsea after the Blues agreed to pay his release clause.

The Super Eagles star was signed for a fee worth $130 million, which was Napoli’s asking price for their star player.

Chelsea’s official X account have welcomed the striker to the club as he begins a new journey in his career.

Osimhen also agreed personal terms with the Blues and has signed a five-year deal with the club.

Chelsea began negotiating a deal for Osimhen last month after it was confirmed that Romelu Lukaku was leaving Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian was also sold to Napoli after having a fallout with previous Chelsea managers, leaving the club no choice but to sell him.

With Osimhen’s deal completed, Enzo Maresca will now have the complete squad he has always wanted before the new season started.
