Ugandan inventor crash-lands homemade helicopter

A Ugandan inventor has crash-landed his small homemade helicopter in the western district of Mbarara.

His condition is being monitored and he will be discharged soon.

He attempted to fly the small helicopter after locals dared him to prove that his home made invention actually works.

Nkahenza lost control during the test flight and the helicopter tumbled to the ground after reportedly flying up about 16-feet.

He claims that his helicopter can fly to about 20 metres but hasn't figured out a formula to perfectly and safely land it to the ground.

This is the second time his dream to fly a homemade helicopter has been repeatedly forced down to earth; the first was disastrous -- he broke his hands.

The helicopter is assembled with steel scrap and other metal fabrications.
