Aludah, one of the popular DJs in Uganda's capital, Kampala, says he has been warned and almost arrested after playing the "Bosco Katala" ad during his set.

He took to Twitter to reveal that OC Kira Road Police Station said he was inciting violence by playing the "song/ad".

"I just know that people seem excited and happy to hear me play it. If the AD has been banned, let us know so we can delete it and stop playing it," DJ Aludah said.

Why is police against playing "Bosco Katala" song?

The popular "Bosco Katala" ad which seeks to promote one of MTN Uganda's product has become a "must have on a playlist" in some of Kampala's hangouts.

Its catchy soundtrack/song has become a trend across the whole country and the police aren't liking it.

Ugandans have likened the "Bosco Katala" commercial character to Uganda's longest serving President Kaguta Museveni -- especially the signature bicycle.

Netizens have gone ahead to nickname the 73-year-old president "Bosco".
