Gulu Magistrate Court on Monday granted bail to the 36-year-old lawmaker and 32 other people, including prominent legislators.

Social media is buzzing with "sigh of relief" messages to the independent lawmaker who is being fronted as the new face of opposition against Uganda's 73-year-old president Kaguta Museveni.

Bobi Wine has been in detention since August 13th when he was first arrested from the northern town of Arua.

His release coincides with the celebration of his 7th wedding anniversary with wife, Barbie Kyagulanyi.
