Jamaican music icon Tarrus Riley will perform at the Swangz Avenue All-star concert on Friday at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
The 39-year-old singer spoke to reporters in Kampala on Wednesday during a press briefing ahead of the concert on August 31st.
It's his first time in the East African nation and has promised a great show.
He told reporters in Uganda's capital, Kampala, that his later father always encouraged him to "always give my best in everything I do".
He added: "Uganda should be ready for a good show. Jah Bless. One love and RESPECT".
Collaborations
Tarrus Riley hinted at the possibility of collaborating with any Ugandan musician.
He said he can't confirm a possibility of collaboration because "I really haven't listened to any Ugandan musician".
"For me to do a project with someone, I should know their art first," Tarrus said
Visiting River Nile
River Nile is one of the most popular natural tourism spots in Uganda -- it's a must go for any new visitor.
Tarrus said he knew about River Nile before Uganda and he would like to visit Jinja and see the beauty of the river.
"If I do not visit River Nile, blame it on Tshaka Mayanja," he said.
