City lawyer Donald B. Kipkorir has come to former KTN news anchor Betty Kyallo’s rescue, after a damning story by Standard Group’s the Nairobian.

“Whilst Betty Kyallo was at KTN, she was the Biggest TV anchor in Kenya ... Standard Group (SG) owns KTN, Standard & Nairobian.... Today, SG thro’ Nairobian betrayed Betty thro’ its scandalous headlines ... What SG did against Betty was Treachery & Subterfuge.. SG went Low,” said Lawyer Kipkorir.

The paper claimed that Joho took back a BMW X6, a Porsche Cayenne and the house he had bought for Betty in Nairobi’s Kilimani area after their breakup leaving her homeless.

"Joho took his house and the BMW. The Porsche Cayenne was repossessed from Betty when she was behind the wheels on Mombasa Road. She was forced to park off the road near Nyayo Stadium and pick her stuff before Joho’s security detail seized it,” read part of the story.
