A "concerned citizen", Francis Niwagaba, wants to file a lawsuit against the wildlife authority for "incompetences exhibited in managing a treasured resource".

Niwagaba's decision comes days after 11 lions were founded dead in Queen Elizabeth National Park in yet another human-wildlife conflict.

The lions were suspiciously poisoned by the locals.

He says UWA's negligence is causing the continued death of the lions in national parks.

It is estimated that each lion generates about UGX50m in revenue annually.

The national census on lions indicates that Uganda is a habitat to about 400 lions
