This Bible verse says you shouldn’t get married
It reads: "If you have a wife, do not seek to end the marriage. If you do not have a wife, do not seek to get married."
The above is quoted as written in the New Living Translation (NLT) Bible.
As you can see, the verse validates both sides.
For a person like Karungi who is against some of the values espoused by the marriage institution, she could use that verse to make case for her decisions.
Karungi has said she doesn't want to get married because she hates being under someone's control.
“You people ask why I am not married but the reason is I don’t want to be controlled by anyone,” she said in an interview.
"About family, you are never going to see that. I won't get married. I don't want to deceive you," she said in another interview.
"Of course, how many do you know that have kids without getting married?" she responded when she was asked how she plans to have children without getting married.
On the other side of the spectrum is Wine and Barbie who will be celebrating their 12th marriage anniversary this year.
Last year Bobi said about their marriage: “Dear Barbie Kyagulanyi, it's been such an honour being married to you. I couldn't imagine a better companion. May this, our 11th wedding anniversary bring you sweet memories of our love story. I love you so much."
Barbie said: "My love, I can't describe in words how much you've loved me... You've been there for me and provided all forms of protection. My do or die, I can't tell you the kind of prayers I've been dedicating to you."
The choice is yours.
