The 19th edition of Blankets and Wine happened on Sunday at Lugogo Cricket Oval and was graced by a pool of local artistes, including two international artistes, Rwandan star The Ben and South African producer and DJ Heavy K Drumboss.

The well attended event was opened by a lineup of 'The New Kampala', a collection of up and rising musicians who put up eccentric performances.

The crowd gravitated towards the main performance stage when the first main musician headliner, The Ben, was announced as the next performer.

He was welcomed by a screaming boisterous crowd singing his songs. The singer performed one of his early 2000s song 'Ese Nibyo' which was followed by all his other smash songs including 'Roho yanjye,' 'Habibi' among others.

Uganda fast risen musician Fik Fameica was the next on the roaster. He was accompanied by a group of dancers who left nothing to imagine.

He thrilled the audience with songs like 'Mafia', 'Pistol', and 'Sconto'.

Heavy K Drumboss, the South Africa producer and DJ, took the stage at around 10:30pm.

The 26-year-old started playing his set, with aid of his playful drummer, as shaku shaku and qwara qwara dances possessed the crowd.

A Ka Dope Band

The A Ka Dope band excited crowds with their non-stop powerful renditions -- including A Pass' chart topping single 'Didadada'

The new kid on the block thrilled people at the event where he was performing for the first time ever. This smooth and powerful voice, once again, positioned his among the musicians to look out. He performed his popular songs including 'Enanga' and 'Kwata Bukwasi'.

This rapper brought some poetry on stage with over 20 minutes of performance. He freestyled and then quickly transitioned to songs he wanted the crowd to remember.

The Congolese group was full of energy, their boisterous performance created another kind of energy.

She is a powerful singer and continued to prove it on Sunday a Blankets and Wine. She had her share of excellence with her powerful covers.

his reggae band had people on their feeet. They did renditions of reggae song by popular reggae icons.
