A seemingly tired looking Mwilu appeared at the courts accompanied by a battery of heavyweight lawyers as she faced the numerous charges at hand.

Conspicuously present by her side were lawyers who some had previously represented NASA at the Supreme Court led by Siaya Senator James Orengo.

She was later released on a Sh5 million bond and ordered to appear in court on Wednesday morning.

DPP Haji earlier in the afternoon addressed the media saying how he had earlier informed CJ Maraga of his decision to grant consent for the arrest and prosecution of the Deputy Chief Justice on criminal charges.
