If you have been lucky enough to travel out of the country for one of the rugby world series, one thing is for sure; Kenyan rugby fans are the loudest and most fun. You will see the Kenyan flag colors in one corner and fans singing and waving pom poms in support of the players. It’s the one sport that makes the girls go gaga. Most women do not even know what a tackle is, they’re there to ogle at the chunky thighs and buff bodies of the rugby players. One of the rugby players that has been a favorite of many women is Biko Adema who plays for the Kenya 7s team.

Biko started playing rugby back in 1999 for a junior team but picked up the sport seriously while in St. Mary’s High School after he realized that he had a talent in the sport. For the last born in a family of two boys, hard work, perseverance and discipline is what got him to the top. Biko wears many hats, even with a tone of accolades under his belt for his talent in rugby, he juggles up music production, rugby coaching at Banda School, motivational speaking and even plays the trombone, and, have you seen him? Pretty boy for daaaaaaaayz! A man that’s disciplined, hard working and can switch from tackling muscular men on the pitch, truss himself up in a suit and look like a Prince Charming. Beat that!

In collaboration with award-winning Kenyan photographer, Donald Gregory of Complement Pictures, the two had fun creating a stunning photo series.

Speaking to Pulse Live, Donald says that he invited Biko for the shoot for a mutually beneficial relationship, in order to build each other’s portfolios. In the shoot, we see Biko don different rugby apparels and have fun with the shoot, striking different poses and then morphs into a gentleman in a bespoke suit and finally, he ditches the suit for a casual tee and jeans look and adds headphones as a prop, to showcase his interest in music production.

We love how Gregory makes use of exposure, focus and rule of thirds in the whimsical shoot that speaks volumes about Biko's laid-back yet fun personality.
