Rukundo, a student of Bishop Barham University College Kabale, was stabbed at New California T & J Transit bar and Hotel after he was confronted by a group of people while dancing with a woman.

New California T & J Transit bar and Hotel is a popular hangout for sex workers in the western district.

A police report says the 27-year-old student was reportedly stabbed under his left armpit during a brawl. He was celebrating the completion of the end of the semester exams on Saturday.

He died in transit to Kabale Regional Referral hospital, according to local police spokesperson Elly Maate.

Police have launched an investigation and New California T & J Transit bar and Hotel has been cordoned off.

This is the second time such an incident has happened at New California T & J Transit bar and Hotel in less than six months.
