What Speaker Among told Pope Francis

The speaker travelled to the holy land with her 10-month-old twins, whom she officially introduced to the Pope.

She reminded the Pontiff of how he blessed her babies last year before they were born.

“Last time when I was here I asked you to bless me,” she told the Pope, as she introduced the toddlers.

Among and her husband Moses Magogo welcomed the twins in October last year.

The Pope in return handed her gifts including some of the books he has authored.

The speaker concluded by inviting the Pope to return to Uganda.

“You are welcome…please come back to Uganda again,” she said.

“Uganda loves you so much.”

In addition to her meeting with the pontiff, Among reportedly held discussions with Pietro Parolin, the Secretary of State of the Vatican, to explore ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the Vatican and Uganda.
