According to one of the editors at Weekly Citizen, Alai made his way to their newsroom on Tuesday afternoon.

He is said to have been angered by a story that was being published, alleging he was extorting money from people and organizations in order to stop publishing alarming information about them.

The equally controversial newspaper had reported that Alai demanded Sh400,000 from NHIF to stop writing a negative story on the organization.

Alwaka told the police that on Tuesday, the blogger angrily destroyed computers, scanner and printer belonging to the newspaper.

The matter, which is record under OB number 84, was confirmed by Central OCPD is Robinson Thuku.

Efforts by Pulselive.co.ke to get a comment from Alai were unfruitful as phone calls went unaswered.
