Uganda police have killed two armed suspects and rescued women and children who had been held hostage in a joint operation.

Security agencies on Saturday morning raided Usafi Mosque in Kisenyi and other locations in the city and arrested " a sizeable number of suspects involved in acts of terrorism & radicalization", according to police.
Two armed suspects were shot dead when they attacked security officers during the operation.
Minister of Internal Affairs Gen. Jeje Odong is expected to brief the press about this operation.
