This was revealed by the police spokesperson, Fred Enanga, during the Police weekly security press conference held at their headquarters in Naguru.
Enanga said the girl who has since been identified as Nalubanga Lahum was returned home from school with her female sibling at 8:00pm by a boda boda man Kussien Yokasin who was hired by their father, but didn’t find anyone there.
He narrated that Yokasin left the children in the house without closing the door and went to look for their auntie. One of the children was however found missing upon return.
“This boda boda man left the children home without closing the door. He went to look for the children’s auntie, but when they returned, one of the children was missing,” he said.
According to Enanga, it was later discovered by the residents that the four-year-old girl was kidnapped by her grandfather Bagaga Isabirye and three other men who sacrificed her by burying her alive in his banana plantation.
The other men have been identified as: Mwesigwa Isma, Mukube Rashid and Issa Umar.
Residents told Police Isabirye had bought a taxi for commercial purposes and was advised by colleagues that he sacrifices one of his granddaughters which he did without hesitation.
Enanga said the four suspects have been arrested by Police and await Court hearing.
